After some discussion within our group we reckon that carbon monoxide gas bind onto the hemoglobin present in our red blood cells. These carbon monoxide gas bind stubbornly and compete with oxygen gas from binding. Since each hemogoblin only has four binding sites, and were occupied by carbon monoxide gas, there are no more available sites left for oxygen to bind. As a result, no oxygen is transported throughout the body. Without oxygen, human beings cannot survive. Thus the victim died due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
